Recruiting Mentors for 6th Grade Students
About the Role
Urban Community School is recruiting mentors for the Wolfpack Program beginning fall 2025. As a mentor, you will join two other mentors to form a "Wolfpack" with a UCS 6th grade student. The program focuses on helping students understand and appreciate the power of relationships.
Wolfpacks meet once a month on a weeknight on campus for shared meals, conversations, and activities. Between meetings, mentors are encouraged to maintain engagement through email, on-campus lunches, and attendance at extracurricular or sporting events.
Mentors and students commit to a year-long relationship, with encouragement to continue through 7th and 8th grade. Since its inception in 2019, over 85 students have participated, many forming long-lasting relationships with their mentors.
