About the Role
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the hiring process while providing exceptional service to applicants, employees, and clients. This role also supports Human Resources operations by maintaining employment documentation, conducting reference checks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with daily administrative functions.
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Source and attract qualified candidates for open positions.
- Conduct phone interviews and initial candidate screenings.
- Guide applicants through the recruitment and hiring process.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Candidate Onboarding
- Collect and verify all required pre-employment documentation.
- Conduct employment reference checks.
- Coordinate onboarding activities with the Human Resources team.
- Ensure all hiring requirements are completed before employment begins.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records.
- Human Resources Support
- Assist with employment documentation and personnel administration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring and onboarding activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information.
- Support additional HR projects as assigned.
- Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service to candidates, employees, and clients.
- Respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Represent the organization positively throughout the recruitment process.
- Build strong relationships with applicants and hiring managers.
- Promote a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
- Administrative Support
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, document preparation, and record management.
- Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Prepare reports and maintain recruitment records.
- Assist with scheduling and office coordination.
- Support daily operations within the recruiting department.
- Compliance & Team Collaboration
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures throughout the hiring process.
- Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and Human Resources staff.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a collaborative and service-oriented work environment.

- Previous recruiting, talent acquisition, or Human Resources experience.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems or scheduling software.
- Knowledge of employment documentation and onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare staffing operations.
