We are looking for a Recruiter to support hiring efforts for a social services organization in Worthington, Ohio. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can manage recruiting activities from talent outreach through onboarding while maintaining a thoughtful and welcoming candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Create and carry out recruiting plans that align with ongoing hiring needs and help attract strong candidates.
- Oversee the full hiring process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, offer preparation, and placement support.
- Build and maintain a broad pipeline of applicants with relevant experience for a variety of positions, with attention to diversity and role fit.
- Guide candidates through pre-employment steps by arranging background checks, drug screens, required documentation, and onboarding paperwork.
- Prepare and present employment offers while supporting discussions around start details and hiring terms.
- Keep applicant and hiring records accurate and current within the applicant tracking system and related HR tools.
- Strengthen community-based talent channels by developing relationships with colleges, universities, agencies, and workforce organizations.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruiting events to increase visibility and connect with prospective candidates.
- Monitor recruiting trends, labor market activity, and industry best practices to improve hiring outcomes and candidate engagement.
- Ensure all recruitment activities follow company standards and applicable employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a closely related staffing role.
- Hands-on knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, applicant screening, interviewing, and onboarding coordination.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems and HR platforms such as ADP Workforce Now.
- Ability to manage high-volume recruitment activity while maintaining organized records and timely follow-up.
- Familiarity with pre-employment processes such as background checks, drug screens, and I-9 documentation.
- Strong administrative and clerical skills, including maintaining accurate files and supporting compliance-related tasks.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills for working with candidates, hiring teams, and external partners.
- Understanding of recruitment compliance standards and employment documentation requirements.
