About the role
This office-based recruiting role executes full-cycle recruiting for technical and salaried roles, ensuring candidates successfully progress through defined onboarding and performance milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days. The position is within an established food manufacturing operation, focused on supporting multiple facilities with hands-on involvement with candidates and hiring teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle recruiting activities for technical and salaried positions, from job posting through onboarding and completion of the 90-day introductory period.
- Perform candidate outreach, screening, and coordination of interviews.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and Human Resources staff throughout the recruitment and offer process, including discussions related to compensation, incentives, start dates, and other offer details.
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to support continuous improvement initiatives, enhance recruiting processes, and promote best practices.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring all participants have the necessary information and materials.
- Support the preparation of interview questions, evaluation tools, and selection materials to ensure a consistent and fair hiring process.
- Maintain accurate recruiting trackers and dashboards, and provide regular reporting and updates as required.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Complete all required company training in a timely manner and remain current on relevant policies and procedures.
- Comply with all company safety policies and human resources policies, practices, and procedures.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems and HR technologies to manage requisitions, candidates, and hiring workflows efficiently.
- Engage with new hires throughout their onboarding period to support retention and successful integration into the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources and recruiting objectives.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of human resources best practices and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, and hiring processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with candidates and internal and external partners.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience using HR platforms such as Paycom or similar systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in technical recruiting specifically within the food manufacturing industry preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in recruiting processes.
- Strong interest in collaborating with cross-functional teams and Human Resources partners.
- Capability to support structured onboarding and performance milestone tracking at 30, 60, and 90 days.
Work Environment
This is an office-based role within an established food manufacturing operation, emphasizing hands-on involvement with candidates and hiring teams rather than solely desk-based compliance work. The environment is collaborative with strong cross-functional engagement, using applicant tracking systems, HR technologies, and tools such as Microsoft Office and Paycom.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
This is a permanent, fully onsite position based in Burlington, NC.
