Recruiter
Contract position based in East Aurora, NY.
About the role
As a Recruiter, you will support hiring activities in a manufacturing-plant environment, working 24 hours per week over 5 days during the first shift. The role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that demands strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Screen resumes and applications against defined hiring criteria.
- Coordinate interviews, pre-employment steps, and candidate communications.
- Schedule new-hire orientations and prepare orientation materials.
- Maintain accurate recruiting activity records and compile weekly updates.
- Support hiring events such as job fairs and onsite interview days.
- Coordinate onboarding tasks with IT, Payroll, and Facilities.
- Conduct new-hire orientations and maintain employee files.
- Assist with offboarding processes and exit interview logistics.
- Uphold confidentiality and data integrity.
- Coordinate training logistics and facilitate engagement activities.
- Partner across HR, Talent Acquisition, and plant operations to streamline workflows.
- Demonstrate action orientation and effective prioritization.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of experience in recruiting or HR within a manufacturing plant environment (TA/Recruiting experience strongly preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Familiarity with ATS/HRIS and job boards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective listening and attention to detail in a fast-paced, production-oriented context.
- Ability to confidently interact with candidates, employees, and leadership in person and virtually.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
