About the role

The Recruiter plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission by strategically attracting, selecting, and hiring top-tier technical talent for the construction consulting industry, including sectors such as data centers, aviation, healthcare, and hospitality. As a key member of the team, the Recruiter leverages diverse channels – including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals – to source and attract candidates. They are instrumental in achieving the Strategic Plan’s growth objectives and oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle for assigned requisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day full-cycle recruitment process in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), UKG, for assigned requisitions/region.
  • Build networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees.
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and qualifications.
  • Proactively source and engage talent through job boards like LinkedIn, while strategically building and maintaining a pipeline of passive candidates.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Work with the immigration attorney to assess candidate work authorization status, advise managers on visa-related considerations, and smoothly transition intercompany and visa-status candidates to long-term visa status.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by video conference, telephone, or in person), administer assessments, conduct reference/background checks, make hiring recommendations, and deliver employment offers for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Deliver only qualified candidates to hiring managers after completing the screening process.
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources (e.g., career fairs, online job fairs, community network events) to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Support the development of advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Support the internal transfer process, including screening, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and preparing transfer offer letters.
  • Follow up in a timely manner with candidates and hiring managers to provide updates on interview process status.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers to effectively place staff.
  • Communicate important employment information during offer delivery (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-competition agreements).
  • Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including EEOC compliance.
  • Assist in the onboarding process to ensure successful integration into RLB’s culture.
  • Maintain application/resume files and retention per company policy.
  • Maintain memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
  • Contribute to team performance through collaboration and effective communication.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Management, or related experience.
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
