  • Conduct thoughtful phone screens that assess qualifications, communication, work history, availability, motivation, and fit for the position and work environment.
  • Run Harris County background checks and complete required pre-employment steps in a timely manner.
  • Provide verbal offers on the spot when candidates pass the final selection process and are approved to move forward.
  • Prepare and send offer letters through Paylocity within 24 hours of approval.
  • Move cleared candidates into Paylocity onboarding and help keep the process moving through the candidate's start date.
  • Candidate And Interview Experience: Communicate clearly and respectfully with candidates by phone, email, and other appropriate channels throughout the process.

  • Set accurate expectations about the role, schedule, pay, work environment, PPE requirements, and hiring process.
  • Maintain timely follow-up and provide a welcoming, professional experience for every candidate, including those who are not selected.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Over-communicate with hiring managers on candidate progress, interview schedules, feedback, offers, and next steps.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to clarify job requirements, identify qualified candidates, and keep searches moving.
  • Confirm that supervisors provide specific, documented reasons when rejecting candidates, and maintain complete records of selection decisions.
  • Share useful recruiting insights, including candidate flow, market conditions, response rates, time to fill, and recurring hiring challenges.
  • Systems, Tracking, and Compliance: Update recruiting trackers in real time, documenting candidate status, outreach, screens, interviews, feedback, offers, and onboarding milestones.
  • Maintain accurate, complete records in the ATS and related spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting tools.
  • Use Paylocity, ZipRecruiter, and other common ATS and recruiting platforms to post jobs, source candidates, manage workflow, communicate, and report results.
  • Follow company recruiting procedures and applicable employment, confidentiality, equal opportunity, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Protect candidate information and use sound judgment when handling sensitive personal and employment data.
  • Sourcing and Process Improvement: Source candidates through job boards, recruiting platforms, referrals, networking, community connections, and other appropriate channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring professional and skilled-trades hiring needs.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and use data to identify bottlenecks, improve response and conversion rates, and strengthen hiring results.
  • Help improve job postings, interview practices, screening questions, recruiting workflows, and communication templates.
  • Represent PT&P in a positive, accurate, and consistent way when speaking with candidates and community contacts.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Become familiar with PT&P's manufacturing operations, job requirements, schedules, and career paths so candidates receive accurate information.
  • Be comfortable working in and visiting a manufacturing facility, including following required PPE and safety practices.
  • Build productive relationships with employees and leaders across office, shop-floor, and operational teams.
