About the Role
As a Recruiter, you will source, attract, and hire top talent across various retail functions. You’ll play a key role in shaping teams behind our most important product categories—bringing in the people who design, merchandise, and plan the assortments our customers love. This high-impact, high-visibility role offers the opportunity to build expertise in fashion and retail recruiting while partnering with engaged, collaborative hiring teams.
This is a hybrid role based in our New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruiting across product teams, including Sourcing, Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, and Design, managing multiple searches simultaneously from initial intake through offer.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using online platforms, networking events, industry associations, and other creative channels.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers through clear communication and follow-through at every stage of the process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, industry professionals, and retail communities to develop a diverse talent network and pipeline.
- Partner closely with hiring managers, HR partners, and department heads to understand role requirements, provide recruiting updates and insights, and develop effective recruitment strategies aligned to business goals.
- Incorporate DE&I best practices into the recruitment process to support a consistent and equitable evaluation of all candidates.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, managing multiple roles and functions independently; retail industry experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of the retail industry, including its unique talent requirements, trends, and challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and social media channels.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative team player, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

- Experience recruiting for product-focused roles within the apparel and fashion industry.
- Creative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative recruitment strategies that resonate with top talent.

Pay
Salary Range: $80,800.00 – $100,400.00. The base salary offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is part of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy, which also includes bonus opportunities and benefits.
