Recruiter
Job Summary
The Recruiter assists the Human Resources Department in the function of attracting top talent across Crane Aerospace & Electronics sites. To perform this job successfully, an individual will partner with the HR Business Partners and the hiring managers to complete the full lifecycle of the employment process which includes recruiting, screening, interviewing, and closing the candidate.
Essential Functions
- Source, recruit, interview, and screen candidates for a wide range of positions, with emphasis on production and manufacturing roles.
- Represent the company at college, community, and industry career fairs to build strong pipelines for entry-level, skilled trades, and internship opportunities.
- Leverage multiple recruiting channels (online platforms, community partnerships, outreach events, referrals) to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates, status reports, and metrics for all requisitions.
- Proactively engage and follow up with potential candidates to align talent with current and future hiring needs.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external job postings.
- Perform additional duties and support recruiting initiatives as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 2-4 years of recruiting related recruiting experience in a high volume, high growth environment.
- Experience working face to face with directors and managers, providing guidance, and direction to ensure a great experience for candidates and hiring teams.
- Understanding of all practices and responsibilities of non-exempt, some exempt positions.
- Ability to successfully assess the candidates’ potential and articulate skill set to hiring managers.
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
- Can adapt quickly to changing business needs and requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Education/Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recruiting in the Aerospace & Defense or other relevant manufacturing industry
- HR Certification from an accredited source
- Bachelor’s degree
Work Conditions
- Standard office environment
- Substantial visual concentration on detail
- Normal for a manufacturing environment
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
