About the role

Join Beacon Specialized Living Services, a nationally recognized behavioral health organization providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Autism, and individuals with high-acuity behavioral needs. We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in Dumfries, Virginia. This role focuses on sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring qualified Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other critical positions to support our residential group homes.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other assigned positions.
• Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, community partnerships, employee referrals, career fairs, and other recruiting channels.
• Screen resumes, conduct phone and virtual interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
• Extend employment offers and guide candidates through the pre-employment and onboarding process.
• Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing hiring needs for residential group homes.
• Monitor recruiting metrics and adjust sourcing strategies to meet hiring goals.
• Ensure recruiting practices remain compliant with applicable employment laws, Joint Commission standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Represent Beacon professionally at hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.
• Promote Beacon's mission, culture, and employment brand to prospective candidates.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or a high-volume recruiting environment.
• Experience recruiting for frontline healthcare or caregiving positions is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Prior experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is strongly preferred, with experience in Dayforce or iCIMS highly desirable.
• Experience with employment law and behavioral-based interviewing techniques preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Must be authorized to work within Beacon Specialized Living Services programs.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Dumfries, Virginia.

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support hiring events, recruitment initiatives, or business needs.
