Recruiter

Overview

AWS is seeking a Recruiter I to support the recruiting efforts for AWS Infrastructure Services. This role is high-volume and focuses on identifying, engaging, and screening technical talent.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel sourcing for technical roles including data center, cloud, network, and SDE-level positions supporting AWS infrastructure at scale
• Build and execute sourcing plans by working with lead recruiters and hiring managers to identify requirements, then finding the right talent
• Drive high-volume candidate outreach daily via email and virtual channels; at least a third of your time will be spent in live conversations with candidates
• Hit weekly KPIs: 36 phone screens scheduled per week, 5–7 in-person or virtual interviews coordinated
• Cold call and engage passive candidates; this is a proactive sourcing role, not an inbound queue
• Navigate two customers simultaneously: the hiring manager who owns the requisition, and the candidate you’re building a relationship with

Requirements

• Must-Haves:
• 1-2+ years technical recruiting experience in a high volume environment
• Boolean search proficiency
• Bachelor's Degree
• Nice-to-Haves:
• Former Amazon experience
• Sourcing focussed background (cold outreach, engaging passive candidates etc)

Team Culture

• This is a recruiting team that operates like a business. You'll intake directly with hiring managers, build sourcing plans, and own your pipeline from outreach through screen. The work is fast-moving and conversation-heavy: expect regular dialogue with candidates, lead recruiters, and HMs to stay aligned on needs and progress.

Logistics

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 12 months, with possibility of extension or conversion to FTES
• Schedule: 40 hrs/week, M–F core hours
• Overtime: No
• Location: Onsite: Seattle WA, Arlington VA, or Herndon VA
• Interview Process: One interview with the hiring manager or proxy. Candidates should come prepared with Technical Recruiting experience, knowledge of AWS Infrastructure Services, Amazon's Leadership Principles, and the STAR method.

Pay and Benefits

• Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position: $36/hour - $38/hour
