About the Role

This opportunity is for a Recruiter to support hiring across a fast-moving, mission-driven organization. The role is responsible for attracting, evaluating, and advancing strong candidates across both technical and non-technical positions while partnering closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and identify candidates who are most likely to succeed. The Recruiter will manage a high volume of inbound applications, conduct proactive sourcing, support structured and equitable hiring practices, and deliver a thoughtful, professional candidate experience from the first interaction through offer.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a diverse range of positions, from kickoff through offer.
  • Drive the top of the hiring funnel by reviewing inbound applications, proactively sourcing candidates, and conducting initial screens to evaluate fit.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and evaluation criteria.
  • Keep active searches moving efficiently by maintaining clear communication, strong organization, and consistent follow-through.
  • Deliver a high-quality, human-centered candidate experience through respectful, transparent, and timely communication.
  • Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, and support hiring decisions so teams can make timely and well-informed selections.
  • Track recruiting progress and outcomes to identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness.
  • Stay current on emerging recruiting trends, including how recruiting practices and tools are evolving with artificial intelligence.
  • Optimize recruiting systems, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and hiring outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting.
  • Ability to stay organized and responsive while managing multiple searches and competing priorities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical or specialized position requirements.
  • Strong empathy, professionalism, and clear communication skills when working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or maintaining structured and equitable hiring practices, such as standardized evaluation rubrics, calibrated screening criteria, or bias-mitigation practices.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems to monitor candidate progress and recruiting outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for technical roles such as Software Engineering, Product, or Data Analyst positions.
  • Ability to interpret basic recruiting metrics and use data to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Experience using AI tools to support recruiting activities.
  • Experience working in a mission-driven nonprofit, social impact startup, or technology-for-good environment.
