About the Role

Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing, and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Recreation Therapy, or related field, or CTRS certification required.
• Art, Recreation, or Activity Therapy licensure preferred.
• Three or more years of previous experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
• Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy machine operation, maintenance, and repairs.

Working Conditions

• Manual: Some manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity required.
• Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk.
• Physical Effort: Medium to heavy effort; may exert up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions.

Pay

Salary range: $26.48 - $50.49 hourly.
