Recreational Therapist (CTRS)-Part-Time
About the role
Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty, and ethics in treating clients and each other. We provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neuro or complex orthopedic diagnoses in the most functional setting - a person's own home and community.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation, treatment, and education of neuro-rehab patients including planning, organizing, and coordination of recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education
- Assess capabilities/interests/barriers
- Maintain records and monitor progress
- Recommend changes/modifications to the program as required
- Perform home assessments and assist patients with the transition to home and community
Qualifications
- Completion of Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation and CTRS designation is required
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must
