About the role

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Responsibilities

• Providing routine, daily treatment activities in a fast-paced acute inpatient psychiatric unit
• Working with a variety of adult patients with behavioral health disorders to assist in achieving psychiatric stabilization and return to the community
• Facilitating group treatment as the primary duty
• Documenting patient care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation Therapy Certification from an accredited college or university
• Current National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
• Current Washington State Registration to practice Recreation Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross required to start
• One year experience in psychiatric/mental health setting preferred
• As a condition of employment, you must join the SEIU Union within thirty (30) calendar days of employment and remain a member in good standing of the Union, unless you submit and are approved for a religious exemption

Pay

• Hourly Union: $37.14-$68.86 depending on experience
• Weekend differential: $1.85

Schedule

• Five 8-hour shifts per week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm one week, then four 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm second week
• Weekends may be included
