Recreation Sports Instructor (PTNB)

Responsibilities

• Organizes, supervises, and instructs a sports program and participants.
• Teaches sports skills with enthusiasm.
• Makes decisions affecting the activities of people including responsibility for worker motivation and satisfaction.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with participants and parents.
• Contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and obtain a desired result.
• Operates program equipment, a copy machine, and telephone.

Requirements

• Some experience in job-related activities and working with children and/or adults.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Knowledge of games, sports; proper English usage, speaking, and teaching.
• General knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Regular use of program equipment, a copy machine, and telephone; occasional use of a personal computer and fax machine.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test before hire.
