Recreation Specialists, Rec Assistant, Youth Program

Summary of duties

• Supervise staff and students to ensure a safe and secure operation of activities in the recreation/avocation area.
• Supervise the code of conduct in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the behavior management system.
• Assist with the planning, implementation, and instruction of a variety of recreation activities, including events and field trips.
• Maintain oversight of activities for individuals and groups, including tournament competition and varsity and intramural competitions for the athletic-minded students.
• Supervise the development of instructional programs to teach students new skills and improve existing skills.

Qualifications/Experience

• One year of experience required.
• Associates Degree preferred, preferably in a related field.
• Lifeguard certificate preferred.
• Valid State Drivers’ License.
