Recreation Program Coordinator - Teen, Adaptive, and Inclusion

Role & Responsibilities

  • Teen Services Leadership
    • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate a comprehensive year-round Teen Services Program.
    • Create innovative programming that supports teen mental health, wellness, social connection, skill-building, leadership development, and recreation.
    • Identify emerging trends, interests, and needs among local teens and adapt programming accordingly.
    • Foster welcoming and inclusive environments where all teens feel seen, valued, and connected.
  • Youth Leadership & Community Engagement
    • Lead the Redmond Youth Partnership and Advisory Committee (RYPAC).
    • Empower youth to participate in civic engagement opportunities and serve as ambassadors for teen voice within the community.
    • Support teen-led initiatives, service projects, events, and leadership opportunities.
  • Program Development & Business Growth
    • Develop and manage a balanced portfolio of fee-based and community-supported programs.
    • Research and implement new program offerings, partnerships, and service models.
    • Monitor program performance, participation trends, and customer feedback.
    • Prepare program budgets, track revenues and expenditures, and support long-range program planning.
  • Adaptive Recreation & Inclusion Services
    • Cookordinate adaptive recreation programs and inclusion services.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for inclusion support requests.
    • Collaborate with participants, families, caregivers, instructors, and community partners.
  • Partnerships & Community Collaboration
    • Cultivate strong relationships with schools, mental health providers, youth-serving organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and community stakeholders.
    • Develop collaborative partnerships that enhance services, increase participation, and address community needs.
    • Represent Teen Services and Adaptive Recreation at community meetings, outreach events, and public engagements.
  • Program Operations
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers, contracted instructors, and program staff.
    • Develop marketing materials, social media content, and outreach strategies.
    • Utilize recreation management software and data tools.
    • Maintain safe, welcoming, and organized program environments.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in program coordination and development.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; college degree or coursework preferred.
