About the role

The Recreation Manager creates personalized guest interactions in Compass Sports, ensures accuracy of the ski-rental process, manages all budgetary financials, oversees arrival and departure of guest equipment, coaches Associates, and maintains proper record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Associates
• Oversee department cleanliness and organization
• Ensure all standards are met
• Handle guest complaints professionally and train Associates accordingly
• Serve as a primary resource for local mountain conditions, weather, ski trails, lift access points, and dining options on property and around the mountain

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent preferred
• 2 years of managerial experience
• Luxury hospitality experience is a plus
• Strong passion for customer service; experience resolving guest concerns in a timely manner
• Highly organized with strong verbal communication skills—able to interact effectively with guests and vendors
• Must pass all binding indemnification tests from ski manufacturers in skier services
• Vast knowledge of recreational activities applicable to the area

Physical Requirements

• Work tasks performed indoors and outdoors with no effective protection from weather
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours
• Regularly lift up to 60 lbs
• Frequently push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
• Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to handle ski equipment

Pay

Base salary range: $70,077 – $87,596 (exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, or gratuities).
