Recreation Experience Attendant | Part Time

About the Role

To provide a unique experience by offering a variety of services including beach service, pool service, poolside activities, and holiday events at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa. Responsibilities

• Provide guest assistance on the pool and beach, including property information, directions, and rentals of pool/beach equipment.
• Escort guests while delivering enthusiastic customer service.
• Manage reservations for pool and beach rentals (Cabanas, Luxury Loungers, beach chairs) from start to finish, including inputting reservations into Xola, setting up rentals, and processing payments in ResortSuite.
• Ensure guests are supplied with clean towels during service hours; clear and remove dirty towels, plates, and cups.
• Assist with routine cleaning of the pool and pool equipment (e.g., sweeping, emptying trash, picking up towels, organizing inventory).
• Attend and participate in monthly team meetings (All Together Get Together).
• Perform opening and closing procedures for recreation facilities, including setup/breakdown of rental equipment and maintaining cleanliness by removing debris and straightening chairs.
• Maintain clear communication with associates, management, and guests.
• Engage with guests through family activities, holiday events, and group recreation programming.
• Assist in all aspects of the recreation department as needed, including greeting guests and addressing questions or reservations.
• Actively ensure guest safety and elevate the guest experience through meaningful interactions.
• Work on holiday special programs as scheduled.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, stand, push, pull, and walk or stand for long periods.
• Proficiency with computers and programs such as ResortSuite, Xola, and Outlook.
• Experience using basic tools, drills, augers, shovels, surfboards, paddleboards, beach carts, and towel bins.

Working Environment

• Interior and exterior work with exposure to weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Various locations: pool and beach areas, department storage, pool decks, and guest areas.
