Recreation Coordinator - Special Events and Specialty Programming

About the role

This position focuses on special events and adult programming at the Oak Point Recreation Center. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or a related field, at least one year of experience in developing and implementing recreation programs, a Texas, Class C driver’s license, and American Red Cross issued CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement special events and adult programming for the Oak Point Recreation Center.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure successful event execution.
  • Ensure compliance with city policies and safety standards.
  • Engage with diverse populations to provide inclusive programming.
  • Provide excellent customer service to City of Plano patrons.
  • Collaborate with other recreation staff to enhance overall program offerings.
  • Knowledge of or interest in recreational swim teams is preferred.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in developing and implementing recreation programs.
  • A Texas, Class C driver’s license.
  • American Red Cross Issued CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.

Benefits

Pay

Minimum $24.011620 hourly salary range.
