About the role
The Recreation Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in La Grange, TX.
Responsibilities
- Supports the delivery of recreation programs and services, including after-school programs, private rentals, special events, and related advertising and registration activities.
- Supervises part-time and seasonal staff.
- Collaborates with other city departments and community partners.
- Assists with budget tracking, program evaluation, and promotional efforts for recreational services.
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks & Leisure Services, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in recreation programming, youth services, event planning, or a related field.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or program participants.
- Knowledge of marketing practices and social media promotion for programs/events.
- Ability to develop innovative programming that engages diverse populations (youth, families, seniors).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
