Recreation Assistant (TRD)

About the role

The primary role of the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant is to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment as well as activities, trips and events for residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled.
• Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events.

Qualifications

• Must have experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
• Must be able to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required.
