20 hours per week
Summary of Duties
Provides customer service to patrons and clerical support by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
- Answer phones; answer routine questions or direct calls to appropriate staff member, take messages as needed.
- Ensure that program flyers are updated and posted appropriately.
- Perform cash handling duties, make change, and input fees; prepare report of transactions using computer software.
- Monitor users of recreation center, Boat House, and participants in recreation programs to ensure orderly conduct.
- Provide information on programs, activities, and events in person or by phone.
- Provide general clerical support including typing, filing, and copying.
- Utilize company software to enroll customers in programs.
- Receive, issue, and store recreation equipment and supplies.
- Input data into computer for registration process.
- Enroll customers in activities and create reservations.
- Perform facility opening and closing procedures, such as ensuring the facility is secure, rooms are set-up and break-down for programs, equipment is picked-up etc.
- Aid with recreation programs, activities, special projects, and events as required.
- May be required to work special events on nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities For Boat House
- Prepare daily reports and deposits.
- Utilize company software to enroll customer in programs.
- Work outdoors in variable weather conditions, year-round.
- Assist patrons in and out of the watercraft.
- May be required to drive the GEM vehicle, trailer with kayaks to the Lakes Edge Boat House facility.
- May be required to maintain GEM vehicle.
- May be required to perform opening and closing procedures, such as ensuring the facility and equipment is secure.
- Power-wash kayaks and clean life jackets.
- May work alone from time to time.

- The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Boat House position requires heavy lifting and/or moving of the kayaks (up to 100 pounds) and driving an electric vehicle with small boar trailer attached.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Experience: One (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a Texas driver’s license and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
- Pre-employment Requirements: Pass pre-employment drug screening, pass background check, and eligible status on Motor Vehicle Report.
