EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing behavioral health counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services since 1987. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
What You’ll Do
This role is crucial for supporting clients in our 24/7 facility. We seek caring, reliable, and determined individuals to join a supportive team that can make a difference in people's lives. Key responsibilities include:
- Counseling and education of clients in individual and group settings
- Supervision and planning of daily activities for clients
- Evaluating clients during activities and making referrals to other community agencies
- Maintaining clinical documentation and assisting with client orientation
- Intervening in crisis situations and preventing potential crises
- Transporting clients in agency vehicles as necessary
- Assisting in the training of new staff members
- Participating in client staffing meetings
Essential Responsibilities
Key requirements include:
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
- Work independently and cooperatively
- Recognize personal limitations and maintain a positive relationship with all clients
- Maintain professional conduct and positive relationships with colleagues and partners
- Drive agency vehicles with a valid license and appropriate insurance
- Be 21 years old at the time of employment
