About the Role

CCBC is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist for our Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (COE-RRS) Program in Taunton, MA. This is a full-time, office-based position with a schedule of Sunday through Thursday, 3pm-11pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care through individual and clinical groups.
  • Assist patients with techniques for handling substance use disorder and mental health disorder.
  • Complete client admissions and monitor residents' progress, maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
  • Evaluate patients’ progress during individual and/or group settings.
  • Conduct hourly safety checks, observe and document patient status at all times.
  • Provide medication observation passes for residents.
  • Assist in completing consult sheets for residents and communicate with nursing staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to optimize patient therapy and treatment outcomes.
  • Facilitate, establish, and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
  • Develop and participate in individual or group patient teaching projects.
  • Respond to patient grievances and complaints as needed.
  • Provide transportation for patients when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/skills in rehabilitation, support, or housing services.
  • Familiarity with housing first, recovery, and rehabilitation principles.
  • At least two years of human services-related work experience, including one year working with adults who have a history of mental illness and/or substance misuse.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective written, verbal, and computer communication skills.
  • Experience in running groups is preferred.
  • Knowledge of core competencies as identified by the assigned department.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process.
  • Computer literacy relevant to the position requirements.

Pay

$22.50/hour

Schedule

Sunday through Thursday, 3pm-11pm
