Recovery Support Specialist, Evenings Sun, Mon, Fri (COE-RRS)

Location: Taunton, MA | Program: COE/RRS | Salary: $20/hour | Schedule: 3pm–11pm, Sunday, Monday, and Friday | Work Location: Office

About the role

CCBC is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist for our new Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (COE-RRS) Program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the individual’s treatment plan and provide direct care, coverage, and milieu supervision
• Facilitate a therapeutic milieu through meetings and groups
• Address care coordination and aftercare needs
• Provide direct services to program clients, including:
  • Conduct and document groups
  • Complete client admissions
  • Perform property searches and monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and calm unit
  • Conduct hourly safety checks and document observations
  • Prepare meals for all residents
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments
  • Conduct medication observation with all residents
  • Conduct weekly grocery shopping for the program
• Attend required meetings and mandatory trainings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/skills in rehabilitation, support, or housing services
• Familiarity with Housing First, recovery, and rehabilitation principles
• At least two years of human services–related work, including one year with adults who have a history of mental illness and/or substance misuse
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills
• Experience running groups preferred
• Knowledge of departmental Core Competencies
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and a satisfactory driving record
• Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process
• Computer literacy as required by the position
