Recovery Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provision of direct services to clients in the CST program, along with other team members, through mental health rehabilitative services.
• Aids individuals living with mental illness in identifying and achieving specific life goals by utilizing personal recovery experience.
• Facilitates and supports the recoveries of others and shapes systems of care through unique insights gained from personal recovery experience.
• Earns the CRSS credential, a professional certification for sharing and incorporating personal life experiences as a consumer of mental health or combined mental illness and substance use disorders services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least one (1) year of experience working in behavioral health, social services, human services, or other related fields.
• Current or former consumer of mental health or combined mental illness and substance use disorders services.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CRSS - Certified Recovery Support Specialist Certification obtained through the Illinois Certification Board, Inc. / IAODAPCA or ability to obtain this certification within 12 months of initial date of employment.

Pay & Benefits

• PAY INFORMATION: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour* based on experience, qualifications, and bilingual language skills.
