About the role
The Adult Residential Support Professional provides compassionate care in a trauma-informed, gender-specific residential treatment program for adult women, including those with infants up to 3 months old.
Responsibilities
- Support and supervise residents, serving as positive role models
- Assist with medication monitoring and administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Prepare meals, and perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Support residents with daily living skills and treatment goals
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations appropriately
- Transport residents to appointments and community resources
- Collect urine samples and administer breathalyzer tests as needed
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, or substance use recovery preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Compassion, patience, and respect are essential
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record are required
- DHS 83 training is preferred or can be completed after hire
Additional Duties
- Local travel may be required based on program needs
