About the role

As a Recovery Specialist II at Telecare Fern Lodge Behavioral Wellness, you will provide care that addresses the physical and psychological needs of members served. You will offer direct and indirect services through individualized service plans, adhering to Medicaid standards.

The program provides intensive mental health and psychiatric treatment services in a safe, welcoming environment for adults requiring continued time for stabilization and recovery support. Services are designed using Telecare's Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS), which incorporates evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction techniques. The RCCS emphasizes "no-force first" practices, cultural context, and fostering independence and self-responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care addressing physical and psychological needs of members.
• Develop and implement individualized service plans in accordance with Medicaid standards.
• Assist with de-escalation and attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training as needed.
• Support members through comprehensive evaluation, risk assessment, psychiatric treatment, and rehabilitation programming.
• Facilitate peer support, community group meetings, social and recreational activities, and supportive counseling.
• Administer and manage medication as required.
• Use personal vehicle for work-related meetings (mileage reimbursed at IRS rate).

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or a BA/BS with one (1) year of experience in a mental health setting.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills, interventions, and mental/physical health conditions and terminologies.
• Certification as a CNA or equivalent documentation of nursing skills and knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years' coursework and 2 years' training/experience; or 2 years’ lived experience.
• Current Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential issued by the Washington Department of Health (WADOH). First-time AAC applicants may experience a 30-90 day processing period.
• Valid and current Washington State driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

Schedule

• Short-Hour .3 | NOC | 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM Wednesday
• 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM Wednesday

Shift differentials for hourly staff: 6% for PM Shift, 10% for Overnight Shift.

Weekend shift differentials: 5% for Weekend AM Shift, 11% for Weekend PM Shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight Shift.

Pay

The expected starting wage range is $19.67 - $23.71 per hour, with the full range going up to $27.75. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges based on the location where the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
