Responsibilities
- Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Actively participate in risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility.
- Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and support implemented corrective actions.
- Participate in safety observation programs as required.
- Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach with mainline team and cross functional personnel.
- Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.
- Maintain productivity standards.
- Complete required documentation- Example: Patrols, housekeeping sheets, Railcar and Flake transfers, etc.
- Solve issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine.
- Make adjustments to machinery as needed- Example: Color and flake additive checks, Extruder heating checks, process settings, etc.
- Suggest improvements to processes or procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance, Team Leader and Engineering for issues and improvements.
- Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment.
- Train others as needed.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent required.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- At least 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Lift Truck experience preferred.
