About the role
Impact Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through behavioral health, recovery support, and harm reduction services. We are seeking a Peer Facilitator to deliver Recovery-Friendly Workplace (RFW) education to employers and community organizations throughout New Castle County and other areas of Delaware.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver Recovery-Friendly Workplace education sessions to employers and community organizations throughout Delaware.
- Facilitate engaging discussions focused on recovery, stigma reduction, and recovery-supportive workplace practices.
- Present educational content in a professional, engaging, and interactive manner.
- Represent Impact Life professionally within the community.
- Clock scheduling and availability with Impact Life staff.
- Complete any required documentation following education sessions.
- Attend required onboarding, curriculum training, and periodic facilitator meetings.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries while representing Impact Life.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Passion for recovery advocacy and reducing stigma surrounding substance use disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking and presenting to groups of varying sizes.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Delaware as needed.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with Impact Life staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications
- Lived experience in recovery (preferred).
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or other peer support certification (preferred).
- Experience facilitating groups, workshops, trainings, or presentations (preferred).
- Experience working within behavioral health, recovery support, peer services, or community outreach (preferred).
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking and presenting to groups of varying sizes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- $40.00 per hour

Total compensation is not expected to exceed $2,500 through the current contract term ending March 31, 2027. This is a contractor position and is not eligible for employee benefits.
