Recovery Engagement Specialist (PT, 11p-7a)

What You'll Do

• Take participant vital signs as delegated per protocol.
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment for participants during the sobering process.
• Respond promptly to participant needs and requests with empathy and excellent customer service.
• Document participant status and complete required observation logs and milieu documentation accurately and in real time.
• Identify and report escalating or unsafe behavior to supervisory or clinical team members.
• Engage participants in supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental ways, fostering trust and rapport.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned, maintaining proficiency with evolving program protocols and standards of care.

What You'll Bring

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of personal recovery experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including those experiencing substance use and intoxication, homelessness, incarceration, and mental health crises.
• Familiarity with harm reduction, restorative and recovery-oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and lived experience.
• Basic computer literacy, including the ability to document in an electronic health record (EHR).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Optional certifications such as Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD), Crisis De-Escalation Training, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Emergency or field-based work experience is a plus.
