Recovery Coach Intern

About the role

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency committed to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. We offer a variety of programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, including Community Based Recovery Support (CBRS).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Lived experience with substance use and recovery
• Completion of Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) and Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches (ECRC) trainings
• Ability to work respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn program-specific systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compliance with federal and state regulations
• Presents as courteous, professional, and recovery-focused
• Demonstrates flexibility and strong time-management skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and lived experience of substance use and recovery
• Valid driver's license and car ownership (preferred)
• Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking (preferred)
