Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM plus overtime as needed. $20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate a lift truck by driving backward and twisting to maintain visibility of travel direction.
- Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment (e.g., cleaning or recharging batteries); report defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Drive battery-powered trucks to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
- Use levers and controls to operate lifting devices—forklifts, lift beams, swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms—to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes; secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Remove product from boxes and/or containers.
- Inspect and evaluate condition of all product brought to the recoup area.
- Inspect and evaluate condition of cartons in the warehouse; repair cartons as needed.
- Classify product as damaged, “as is,” or scrap based on level of damage.
- Repackage appliances in boxes or cartons.
- Complete inventory and restock cartons as needed.
- Use scanning devices and computers to perform tasks.
- Complete reports and documentation as required.
- Maintain reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Perform all duties in conformance with safety and security standards.
- Perform any other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One to two years of related experience.
- Valid state driver’s license; forklift certification preferred.
- Basic proficiency with scanner technology.
