Omaha Orthodontics is expanding our team! We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Orthodontic Records Technician to assist our 4 Board-Certified orthodontists and our Clinical Team. This position rotates between our two offices in Omaha: 168th & Maple St. and 178th & Harrison St.

About the role

The Lab Technician plays an important role in supporting the clinical team by ensuring lab work, appliances, models, and patient records are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Preferred candidates should love working with people in a fun and fast-paced environment and have experience in the dental field. Orthodontic experience is helpful but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Invisalign & Lab Orders
    • Submit Invisalign cases accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Order retainers, appliances, and other lab items as needed.
    • Track lab orders and monitor cases to ensure they are submitted, completed, and received on time.
    • Follow up on outstanding or delayed lab cases as needed.
  • Lab & Appliance Management
    • Unpack incoming lab shipments.
    • Organize and distribute lab items to the appropriate office or location.
    • Create replacement retainers in our in-house lab.
    • Print patient models using our in-house 3D printer.
    • Ensure lab work and appliances are properly organized and ready when needed.
  • Organization & Support
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab and work area.
    • Stay detail-oriented and organized to ensure all responsibilities and deadlines are completed efficiently and on time.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth coordination of lab orders and patient needs.
    • Upload patient photos to the appropriate patient records.
    • Assist with other lab-related duties and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently while also communicating effectively with the team.
  • Comfortable using technology and learning orthodontic software and systems.
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous orthodontic, dental, or lab experience is highly preferred.
