Essential Functions
- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
- Generate and prepare medical records upon request.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage protected health information and medical records, administer computer systems, collect and analyze patient data and use classification systems and medical terminologies.
- Ensure the quality of medical records by verifying completeness, accuracy and proper entry into computer systems.
- Prepare and assemble materials, files, and packets within established timelines.
- May be required to travel to office locations to obtain notarized records and documentation and mail records as needed.
- Prepare copy of records when presented with properly completed medical release forms.
- Pull and route records to appropriate personnel, department or outside agency in accordance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Organize and maintain department filing system.
- Knowledge of chart control, access and storage in accordance with established policies and regulations.
- Knowledge of medical records regulations and release of health information.
- Assemble and maintain client/department records according to regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure files are complete with documentation and signatures.
- May be required to track patient paperwork, forms, and other documents for patient files.
- Assist with producing records for internal and external compliance audits.
- Provide assistance and/or back-up to other administrative staff as needed.

- Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
- Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
