About the role
The Records and Documents Manager will provide a full range of Federal and State records and documents management and analysis support functions to our government client. The primary areas of responsibility include Records and Documents Maintenance, Correspondence and File Plan Development, and Electronic Records Disposition through Electronic Records Archive (ERA). This position collects, maintains, and distributes all documents and correspondence necessary to support the Environmental Restoration Branch of the Environmental Management Division. The role ensures conformance to customer requirements and utilizes a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all retained documents. The manager will also oversee the document control center to ensure users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Collect and maintain correspondence, documents, and files of the latest revision to assist in tracking and managing a Federal and State environmental cleanup program.
- Distribute latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure obsolete documentation is removed from distribution in a timely manner.
- Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.
- Review documents and catalog and file according to existing structure.
- Utilize and maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents retained in the document control center.

- Previous experience in document and records control is a plus but not required.

Additional Requirements
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results.
- Obtain appropriate clearance levels required and be able to access military installations, if applicable to the contract.
