Reconstructive Urologist

About the role

The Department of Urology at Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced board-eligible or board-certified urologist with fellowship training in reconstructive urology. The ideal candidate will have training in gender affirming surgery and should be qualified to be appointed at the Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School.

This is a full-time role; salary and academic appointment will be commensurate with training and level of experience. The candidate must demonstrate professional, academic, and teaching skills in urology.

Responsibilities

Performing complex reconstructive urological procedures including but not limited to:

• Gender affirming surgeries
• Urinary diversion procedures
• Bladder augmentation and reconstruction
• Penile reconstruction
• Other reconstructive procedures as needed

Teaching and mentoring residents and fellows in reconstructive urology

Participating in clinical trials and research related to reconstructive urology

Contributing to the academic mission of the department through publications, presentations, and educational activities

Requirements

Board eligible or board certified in urology

Fellowship training in reconstructive urology preferred

Experience with gender affirming surgeries

Ability to teach and mentor residents and fellows

Qualifications

MD or DO degree

Current medical license in good standing

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
