Reconditioning Associate

Position Overview

As a Reconditioning Associate, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every vehicle meets CarMax’s quality standards for quality and presentation. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to start a rewarding career with the nation’s largest retailer of used cars.

Role Responsibilities

• Log and track vehicle deliveries and inventory to maintain accurate records
• Move and stage vehicles across the lot for optimal customer viewing
• Ensure a clean, welcoming environment that reflects CarMax’s commitment to excellence
• Perform reconditioning tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles to meet quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences
• Learn and apply best practices in automotive care and inventory management
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $20.20
• Paid Sick, Vacation, and Holiday Time:
• Sick Time: Per pay period basis, up to 48 hours per year
• Vacation Time: After a 90 day waiting period, 80 hours to 200 hours per year depending on years of continuous service with the Company
• Holiday Time: 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday, 8 hours of pay for each holiday worked
• Time Away: Paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., subject to manager approval
