About the Role
The Reconciliation & Reporting Specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, account balances, and operational records through timely reconciliation, reporting, and issue resolution. This role performs detailed analyses of discrepancies, prepares routine and ad hoc reports, supports regulatory and compliance requirements, and processes transaction maintenance activities, including void and reissue requests.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial accounts, bank statements, cash transactions, and operational systems including HealthEZ and Horizon platform reconciliation.
- Research, analyze, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and exceptions in a timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports to management and business partners.
- Maintain supporting documentation and audit trails for reconciliation activities.
- Monitor and maintain reconciliation systems and tools.
- Coordinate and complete NY Pool insurance filings and related reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
- Process void and reissue requests accurately, verifying supporting documentation and approvals.
- Track outstanding reconciliation items and follow up with internal and external stakeholders for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and develop process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses to audit inquiries.
- Collaborate with Treasurer, Accounting, Funding Operations, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve account and transaction issues.
- Provide backup and assistance as needed to Treasurer tasks and activities.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in reconciliations, accounting operations, financial reporting, or related functions.
- Experience with insurance filings, regulatory reporting, or treasury operations preferred.
- Experience processing payment corrections, voids, and reissues is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay
Target base compensation range for this role is $23.00–$25.00/hour.
