About the Role

Trinity Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Recertification Specialist to support the compliance and occupancy functions of one of our affordable housing communities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations while delivering exceptional service to residents and applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage annual and interim recertifications from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Process income, asset, employment, and third-party verifications in accordance with program requirements
  • Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing regulations
  • Communicate effectively with residents regarding required documentation, deadlines, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain organized resident and applicant files to ensure audit and inspection readiness
  • Monitor upcoming recertifications, lease renewals, vacancies, and compliance deadlines
  • Auxiliary with applicant processing, waitlist management, and occupancy tracking
  • Support resident relations by responding to questions and providing excellent customer service
  • Auxiliary with rent collection activities, notices, and general administrative responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Property Management and site staff to ensure efficient community operations
  • Prepare for and support agency audits, file reviews, and compliance inspections

Qualifications

  • Affordable housing experience required
  • Previous recertification experience required
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs preferred
  • COS, HCCP, or other affordable housing certifications are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and compliance requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
