About the Role
Trinity Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Recertification Specialist to support the compliance and occupancy functions of one of our affordable housing communities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations while delivering exceptional service to residents and applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage annual and interim recertifications from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Process income, asset, employment, and third-party verifications in accordance with program requirements
- Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding required documentation, deadlines, and compliance requirements
- Maintain organized resident and applicant files to ensure audit and inspection readiness
- Monitor upcoming recertifications, lease renewals, vacancies, and compliance deadlines
- Auxiliary with applicant processing, waitlist management, and occupancy tracking
- Support resident relations by responding to questions and providing excellent customer service
- Auxiliary with rent collection activities, notices, and general administrative responsibilities
- Partner closely with Property Management and site staff to ensure efficient community operations
- Prepare for and support agency audits, file reviews, and compliance inspections
Qualifications
- Affordable housing experience required
- Previous recertification experience required
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs preferred
- COS, HCCP, or other affordable housing certifications are a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and compliance requirements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
