About the role
Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area, with almost 20 years of development experience and over 1,700 residential units developed to date. The organization took over the property management functions of Christopher Homes, Inc., adding their 60‑year history of excellence, and now manages over 2,400 senior affordable apartments. Its focus is on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities. The Recertification I position works specifically with seniors to enhance the recertification process, conduct inspections, and coordinate voucher rents in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Process all resident recertifications, including paperwork and inspections
- Make irregular updates to tenant information as needed
- Assist with repair and replacement requisitions
- Support move‑in and move‑out proceedings
- Coordinate voucher rent
Requirements
- Previous experience in leading and occupancy functions, property management, or loan processing with HUD program guidelines is preferred
Skills
- Passion for working with seniors and creating a positive, supportive environment
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using computers and property management software
- Reliable, adaptable, and ready to handle occasional on‑call responsibilities
Schedule
Full‑time, Monday through Friday.
