Coral Shores Behavioral Health, a UHS subsidiary, is an 80-bed adolescent and adult Baker Act receiving facility located in Stuart, Florida. The facility provides high-quality, individualized mental health and addiction services in a confidential and caring environment, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, patients, and callers, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Answer and manage a multi-line switchboard, directing calls to appropriate departments or employees.
- Differentiate between crisis calls and route them to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Provide callers with information such as company address, directions, fax numbers, website, and services offered.
- Notify applicants about the application process.
- Manage patient visitation, ensuring compliance with processes such as visitor restrictions, collecting personal belongings, etc.
- Accept, review, and document patient belongings, ensuring timely delivery to units or patients.
- Receive, sort, and forward incoming mail; maintain and route publications.
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
- Manage the security of the reception area, recognizing and responding to signs of escalating situations; call for assistance as needed.
- Assist in the announcement of codes and fire drills.
- Manage a cash box and sales for meal tickets and events.
- Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and collating as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including covering 12:30-hour shifts and vacations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work 12:30-hour shifts.
