Job Description And Position Requirements

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus is seeking applicants for part-time job of Receptionist and Office Assistant. Job duties to include:

  • Serve as primary point of contact and escort for visitors
  • Answer phones/assist callers
  • Provide general office support: maintain office supply inventory and ordering, purchasing/ordering requests, note taking for staff meetings and emergency drills, scheduling shipping pickups, enter work orders and maintain copies of forms needed for operations
  • Aid with events, workshops and meetings
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Forward university communications to faculty and staff

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office products, Teams, Simba, SAP Concur, and Workday preferred

Work Hours

This position will work up to 24 hours per week throughout the 2026/2027 academic year.

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
