Location
- 180 East Pulaski Road
- Monday to Friday, 2 Saturdays/month
- Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Saturday 7:20am-12:00pm
- Full-time: Benefit Eligible
- Hourly Rate: $17.50 - $18.50/hr
The Receptionist – Phlebotomy Laboratory
- Greet and check in patients for laboratory and phlebotomy services
- Verify patient identity using established protocols
- Confirm physician orders, requisitions, and test requests
- Enter patient demographics, insurance, and test information into the laboratory information system (LIS) or EMRS
- Schedule phlebotomy and specimen collection appointments
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients, providers, and client offices with questions
- Print specimen labels and prepare paperwork for phlebotomists
- Receive, log, and route incoming specimens from courier or walk-in patients
- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate prior to specimen collection
- Maintain front desk supplies, forms, and office materials
- Cookordinate communication between patients, phlebotomists, couriers, and laboratory staff
- Assist with scanning, filing, faxing, and record retention
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed
- Support wait-time management and patient flow during peak periods
All You Need Is
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1–2 years of receptionist, medical office, or laboratory clerical experience (preferred)
