Receptionist, FL PACE Centers
Job Summary
Perform receptionist duties for assigned department following department protocols and procedures. Assists with clerical duties as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Handles all telephone calls, transfers calls to appropriate parties and greets and directs visitors.
- Transfers calls to voicemail or takes messages and delivers them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Distributes incoming mail, copies and faxes documents in a timely manner.
- Emergency situations with clients/caregivers/providers are referred to appropriate parties.
- Maintains unit specific documentation as per department guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Provides assistance to staff and clerical support as needed.
- Attends department meetings and in-services as needed.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of related experience preferably in a healthcare setting

Abilities Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to handle busy switchboard
- Costumer Service Skills, Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated caring attitude/ability to work with geriatric patients

- Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation
- Infectious Material Exposure - No routine exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues, but may occasionally require performing unplanned activities which may involve exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues.
