Responsibilities
- Promptly identify customer needs and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous attitude towards all customers and employees
- Answer incoming dealership phone calls and direct customers to the correct departments
- Operate a high-volume multi-line telephone system and transfer callers to the appropriate personnel
- Notify the appropriate person when a customer is waiting and introduce the customer appropriately
- Work collaboratively with the sales team
- Maintain showroom refreshments
- Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers
- Accurately make change for cash payments
- Handle customer complaints with integrity, poise, and refer customers to the appropriate individual for further assistance
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Complete IRS/FinCEN Form 8300 for cash payments exceeding $10,000
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills
- Professional phone etiquette
- Excellent listening and communication skills, outgoing, and positive personality
- Punctuality and ability to handle flexible schedules and dynamic work environments
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in handling high-volume, multi-line phone systems
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous dealership or retail receptionist experience (preferred)
- Professional appearance and eagerness to improve in all areas
