About the role

As a Cashier at Blain’s Farm & Fleet, you will maintain a working knowledge of all checkout functions while welcoming each customer with a positive, helpful attitude. You will convey our Blain’s Culture to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer when entering and leaving the store
• Greet customers when entering the checkout line
• Scan each item and ensure pricing is accurate
• Redeem in store and manufacturer coupons
• Replenish merchandise/supplies in the checkout area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area
• Resolve customer issues and handle customer inquiries. Elevate to management as needed.
• Achieve specific goals for Blain’s Rewards Mastercard applications, Loyalty sign-ups, and BEST Protection Plans.
• Assist at customer care, Self Checkout, and the sales floor as needed.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with all relevant policies (e.g. finance, safety, LP, HR, legal, etc.)
• Perform the duties of the Self-Checkout attendant as needed.
• Perform Customer Care duties including returns and answering the phone as needed.
• Assist other departments as assigned.
• Assist with customer carryout as needed.
• Perform duties of the Sales Floor Associate as needed.

• Ability to perform all checkout functions accurately
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to resolve customer issues and handle inquiries
• Willingness to assist in multiple areas including customer care, self checkout, and sales floor
• Ability to achieve goals for Blain’s Rewards Mastercard applications, Loyalty sign-ups, and BEST Protection Plans

Pay

• Base pay up to $15.00/hr
• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50/hr
• Compensation may vary based on experience, training, work location, required travel, and external market conditions
