About the Team

The Reception team works closely with Administrative, Recreation, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Nursing, and Resident Services staff to ensure smooth daily operations while providing exceptional service to residents, visitors, and families.

About the Role

Masonicare is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and callers at its Wesley Heights community. This role combines front desk administration with resident support, recreational activities, and coordination of daily operational tasks to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, assist, and direct residents, visitors, and callers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide information and guidance while coordinating visitor access and resident assistance.
  • Receive and distribute messages, flowers, newspapers, prescriptions, and other deliveries.
  • Cook up and facilitate recreational activities, including games, exercise sessions, and discussion groups.
  • Maintain resident records, meal service requests, directories, and other administrative files.
  • Handle incoming emergency calls through the Call-for-Aid System and notify appropriate staff.
  • Schedule resident transportation requests.
  • Enter maintenance and housekeeping work orders.
  • Maintain the Outlook calendar for guest room reservations.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with departmental requests as needed.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Affordance and organize department equipment and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service or office experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and standard office software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centered customer service.
